Tusker FC aims for a fourth win against Muhoroni Youth, while Homeboyz, Sharks, and Bidco United seek crucial league victories.

Twelve-time FKF Premier League champions Tusker FC are set for an enthralling encounter against a struggling Muhoroni Youth this Saturday afternoon at Muhoroni Stadium.

Riding high on a wave of momentum with three consecutive wins, Tusker is eyeing a fourth straight victory to keep their title aspirations alive.

However, they must navigate the challenge posed by Charles Odera's determined squad.

In contrast, Muhoroni Youth is desperate to snap a five-game winless streak marked by draws against Sofapaka, Kakamega, and KCB, along with defeats to Sharks and Leopards.

Sitting just three points clear of the relegation zone, a loss this weekend could further jeopardize their season.

Reflecting on the last encounter between the two sides, it was David Odoyo's decisive strike that clinched a narrow victory for Tusker.

Ahead of the rematch, Tusker FC's striker Eric Otieno praised the competitive atmosphere within the team, attributing it as a key factor to their recent success.

"We have prepared well as a team, and the spirit is really great. Coming off a run of three wins really propels us well," Otieno shared.

Despite their current form, Otieno emphasized the importance of not underestimating Muhoroni Youth, recalling last season's defeat in their territory.

"They are a very tough opponent, especially in their backyard, so we have to be ready," he cautioned.

With Tusker FC currently third in the league standings, ten points adrift of leaders Gor Mahia, every match counts in their pursuit of the top spot.

FC Talanta v Kakamega Homeboyz

Elsewhere in the league, the early kickoff at Thika Stadium will see Kakamega Homeboyz face off against FC Talanta.

Both teams are eager to improve their standings, with Homeboyz unbeaten in their last four outings but trailing in the title race due to two wins and two draws.

FC Talanta, under the guidance of Ken Kenyatta, are struggling to find form, having failed to secure a win in their last four matches, including losses to Bungoma Stars and Ulinzi Stars.

Kariobangi Sharks v Nairobi City Stars

The day's fixtures also feature a clash between Kariobangi Sharks and Nairobi City Stars at the Police Sacco Stadium.

The Sharks are aiming to continue their recent upswing to escape the relegation threat.

In contrast, City Stars, buoyed by the return of key players Newton Ochieng, Elvis Noor, and keeper Edwin Mukolwe from suspension and injuries, hope to leverage their favorable history against the Sharks, having not dropped points in their last five encounters.

Bidco United v Sofapaka

In another notable match, Bidco United will take on Sofapaka at Thika Municipal Stadium.

Bidco, currently ninth in the league, seeks to avenge their 3-0 defeat to 14th-placed Sofapaka in their previous meeting on January 7.

With both teams looking to climb the table, this game promises to be a fiercely contested battle.

Saturday fixtures:

Gor Mahia v Posta Rangers (Kenyatta, Machakos)

Bidco United v Sofapaka (Thika, Kiambu)

Talanta v Kakamega Homeboyz (Thika, Kiambu, 1pm)

Kariobangi Sharks v Nairobi City Stars (Police Sacco, Nairobi)

Muhoroni Youth FC v Tusker (Muhoroni, Kisumu, 1pm)
