Jamaican legend Usain Bolt has lauded American sprint queen Sha’Carri Richardson for reenergizing track and field with her bubbly personality.

Jamaican track legend Usain Bolt has shared his admiration for US sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson, praising her remarkable success both on and off the track.

Richardson, who claimed the world 100m title in Budapest last year, has emerged as one of the most prominent and vocal figures in the sport, alongside athletes like Noah Lyles.

Bolt expressed his satisfaction with the increasing visibility of athletes in the sport since his retirement, citing Richardson as a prime example.

"Everybody is different. But I think she brings a different spice to track and field. And sometimes sports need someone like that to give the energy," Bolt said of Richardson.

Richardson’s electrifying personality both on and off the track has captured the attention of fans worldwide, reminiscent of Bolt's own impact on the sport.

Her ability to deliver stunning performances while embracing her external fame has led to lucrative endorsements with major corporations.

As Richardson continues to dominate the track, Bolt believes she is poised to become the undisputed face of track and field for the next decade.

He emphasised that if she can maintain her stellar performances, particularly at the upcoming Paris Olympic Games and future championships, her journey towards legendary status, akin to Bolt’s own, will only be solidified.
