Dates when Sha'Carri Richardson and Shericka Jackson will clash for the first time this season have been confirmed.

World champions Shericka Jackson and Sha’Carri Richardson will clash at the Diamond second leg of the Diamond League Meeting series in Suzhou, China on Saturday, April 27.

Jackson, the reigning World 200m champion is yet to open her season and has cancelled three of her season openers including the latest event where she was supposed to compete, the Miramar Invitational in Florida.

The Jamaican might be opening her season, competing in her favourite event, the 200m as she fixes her eyes on the world record. She also hopes to bag her individual gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games later this year.

The World 100m silver medallist enjoyed an amazing season last year and she hopes to replicate that this Olympic year.

She now clashes with the American, who beat her to second-place in the 100m at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. Jackson then stunned Richardson in the 200m, winning that race in the second fastest time as the latter finished second.

Richardson will be opening her season with the 100m at the Diamond League Meeting in Xiamen, competing in the 100m before her highly anticipated clash against Jackson.

Another America, Twanisha Terry also descends on the track, hoping to enjoy a great run and make her name for herself at the event.

The event will also see a clash of world indoor 60m champion Christian Coleman going up against Fred Kerley, the former World 100m champion. Mondo Duplantis will also be in action, as he builds up to defend his Wanda Diamond League title.

Olympic high jump champion Mutaz Essa Barshim, and 100m hurdles world record holder Tobi Amusan will also be in theh mix.
