Kishane Thompson has dropped a message for his rivals following his scintillating run at the Prefontaine Classic at the Hayward Field in Eugene on Saturday night.
Thompson dominated the men’s 100m race, crossing the finish line first in 9.85 seconds ahead of Great Britain’s Zharnel Hughes, who came in second in 9.91 seconds. American Trayvon Bromell sealed the podium in 9.94 seconds.
In a post-race interview, Kishane Thompson mentioned that once he gets his execution right, he will be very hard to beat.

Kishane Thompson raced to the first Diamond League victory of his career with a dominant 9.85s at the Prefontaine Classic.
Kishane Thompson further said that running fast and achieving certain accolades involved a lot, and it wasn’t as simple as just getting up and snapping one’s fingers.
He explained that it required hard work, both mental and physical. He added that it was important to trust oneself, trust the process, the team, the coach, and everything that came with it.
“It's an amazing crowd, man. I didn't know that so many people over here actually knew me. I got a good reception from everyone. Yeah, everybody said go Kishane, and I was like knowing me, I'm not all that, you know. I'm kind of shy. I was like, thank you,” he added.
Kishane Thompson has been in great shape this season, competing in a series of 100m races. He opened his outdoor season at the Diamond League Meeting in Keqiao, where he finished second behind Akani Simbine.
He then competed at the JAAA WA Championships Preparation #1 and Racers Grand Prix. He was impressive at the Jamaican Championships, where he clocked 9.75 seconds, the fastest time since 2015.
