The experienced tactician has revealed why he will not be extending his spell as coach beyond the end of the season.

Bandari FC interim coach Twahir Muhiddin has revealed he has no plans to remain in charge beyond the end of the season despite overseeing a turnaround in performances and results since taking over from Anthony Modo Kimani in May.

Under the vastly experienced tactician, the Mombasa-based outfit have been in superb form. They have won five and drawn two of the seven games under the former Harambee Stars assistant coach.

Bandari beat Sofapaka 2-0 at the Nyayo Stadium courtesy of goals by James Kinyanjui and the on-form Harambee Stars winger Hassan Abdallah.

The long-serving Mombasa-based tactician has definitely seen it all at club and national team level, thanks to his innate desire to achieve excellence within those he has coached.

“I am not willing to stay in this post beyond the end of the season because I have work to do for the CAF and the (Football Kenya) Federation. I believe both federations would do with my experience better compared to Bandari,” Muhiddin said.

Muhiddin was quick to praise Abdallah after netting his 11th goal of the season, while registering his 12th assist for the season, claiming he was an “international level player” who is “very reliable”.

“He is an international level player,” he said. “He is a very reliable player and we appreciate him for lifting our flag high,” he added.

“We are proud of him for establishing his reputation as a top player and he is very deserving of being in the national team.”

Bandari will play against Kariobangi Sharks on Thursday 8 June before ending the season with a clash against Posta Rangers.
