Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga has broken his silence since confirming that he will leave Qatari side Al Duhail on Thursday.
Olunga has ended his four-and-a-half-year stay with the Doha-based club and leaves after scoring 130 goals to make him the club’s all-time top scorer while he has also won a number of trophies.

“Leaving the team won’t stop me from always offering support,” Olunga told the Al Duhail website in his farewell message.
“The club management provides everything for the team, from the president to the vice president, and I hope to see them become the best team in Asia.

“Today, I depart and change my destination to another place, and I may return to Al Duhail Club someday, regardless of the position or role I might be assigned – perhaps I’ll return one day as a player, coach, or official,” Olunga further said.

“Of course, I won’t forget the fans who always supported the team with their encouragement. My family at Al Duhail Club, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I hope you achieve your goals in the new season. Of course, I will continue to support Al Duhail.”
