Daniel Levy is the only person who knows Ange Postecoglou's fate at Tottenham Hotspur.

Ange Postecoglou's position as Tottenham Hotspur manager remains precarious despite leading the club to its first trophy in 17 years.

The Spurs endured their worst Premier League campaign in recent memory, finishing 17th with only 11 wins. They lost 22 of their matches and managed to secure draws in five of their matches.

Speculation is rife that Postecoglou's tenure at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could be short-lived, even after securing silverware, the Europa League trophy.

As reported by Tottenham news, commentator Ian Darke suggests that club chairman Daniel Levy may be waiting for the post-trophy celebrations to subside before making a decision.

While dismissing a trophy-winning manager might seem harsh, Tottenham's dismal league form raises concerns from fans and shareholders of the club.

A repeat performance next season, coupled with the added pressures of Champions League football, could see the club battling relegation.

Aside from their poor Premier League performance, Ange Postecoglou's reportedly strained relationships with fans and key players further complicate matters.

Winning a trophy might not be enough reason to mend these fractured connections, which might affect the players going into next season.

“Only Daniel Levy knows what the future is for Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham. It may be that they are leaving a decent gap because it would look cruel and a bit heartless and spoil the mood if they were to come out within a couple of days of having lifted a European trophy for the first time since 1984," he said.

"To have kind of fire the guy who won them the trophy. They may well still be thinking about it. I would say Postecoglou's job will be hanging by a thread as we speak."

If Daniel Levy identifies alternative managerial candidates capable of elevating Tottenham and challenging for the Premier League title, he may well choose to replace the Australian manager.
