The allegations against Chair stem from a confrontation where he is accused of causing serious injury to a truck driver, Niels T, by hitting him with a rock. This altercation reportedly took place as Niels T waited with his family for a coach back to Belgium after a kayaking trip.
The prosecutor's office in Antwerp, Chair's hometown, has taken up the case, with prosecutors calling for a two-year jail term for the footballer, along with a fine of £1,400, per Footy Accumulator.
