The Dockers are in the market for a new coach to steer the team next season.

In their pursuit of a new manager, Bandari FC have added AFC Leopards head coach Patrick Aussems to their wishlist.

Aussems has emerged as one of the coaches who could take over at the club, which is expected to have a new manager next season.

With Twahir Muhiddin – who was appointed as caretaker when Anthony Modo Kimani was relieved of his duties – stating he is not interested in a permanent role, Bandari are expected to have a new coach.

Initial reports indicated Robert Matano of Tusker was the leading candidate to take over the Mombasa-based team, but Nzoia Sugar FC’s Salim Babu and former Mathare United head coach Francis Kimanzi have also emerged as potential candidates.

Babu has had an incredible campaign with Nzoia Sugar, who have a marginal mathematical chance of winning the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) title this season.

Kimanzi is also an experienced tactician, having been in charge of the Slum Boys during their title-winning campaign in 2008. He has also had a stint with the national team, the Harambee Stars.

Getting Matano off Tusker could be a difficult task for Bandari, as the Brewers are in a good position to defend the league title and secure CAF Champions League football.

The Ruaraka-based club is also in the final of the 2023 FKF Cup, which gives them a chance to fight for a Confederation Cup ticket.

All these indicate that Matano would prefer to stay at Tusker given what the future holds instead of going to Bandari and leading them only in domestic football next season.
