)
According to the former Manchester United attacking coach, Carlo Ancelotti needs to work with experienced players so that way, he can allocate tasks and let them manage themselves while on the pitch.
Benni McCarthy added that Real Madrid players are young and they need a hands-on coach, someone who can move around the touchline and guide them during matches.

Ferdinand Omanyala: Athletics Is the Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me
Despite the challenges of a demanding career in athletics, Ferdinand Omanyala has found purpose and fulfilment through his rapid rise.
“You have to look at Carlo, I think he's ageing now, you know, so the energy is dropping a lot. He's not as vocal, he's not as active as he used to be,” Benni McCarthy said in an interview with Sporty TV.
“I think what he's finding is that this generation of Real Madrid players are world superstars. But you still have to remember they are all under 25, so they are still kids.
“When you give players with that kind of age too much responsibility, they are not of the generation that Carlo has always worked with. He has had the more experienced players who want to have that kind of responsibility, and then they go and do it.”

Kaizer Chiefs In For Benni McCarthy-Coached Harambee Stars Striker
Kaizer Chiefs are firming up their interest in Harambee Stars striker who Benni McCarthy likes.
McCarthy pointed out that playing against formidable sides like Barcelona requires a coach who will be there to give the players the moral support they need and guidance where needed.
He added that when Real Madrid faced Arsenal, Carlo Ancelotti kind of abandoned them, and they struggled to make an impact in the two legs of the quarter-final.
“So I think these guys need a young Xabi Alonso or someone who runs down the touchline. They have the quality, they have the ability, but you do get to a certain stage, especially when you play the likes of Barcelona, or when you play the situation that they were in against Arsenal, then you need just a younger manager that's on the touch line,” Benni McCarthy shared.
“Carlo is just very laidback, and I think when you are like that, when your team is against the wall, now players look around, they're looking for that leader, you know. I think Carlo doesn't have that. I think it is time that Madrid goes for the younger version of Carlo.”
Benni McCarthy insisted that although the players at Real Madrid are superstars, they still require a lot of guidance from the sidelines.
McCarthy is convinced that this is where Real Madrid is falling short, explaining that manager Carlo Ancelotti is too relaxed and seems to think the players can solve problems on their own, which leads to shortcomings in big matches.
