Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy has revealed where he thinks Jose Mourinho will work next after he ends his spell with Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy has weighed in on the future of legendary Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho who is currently in charge of Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
Mourinho was brought in by Fenerbahce to try and end the dominance of Galatasaray but he has not managed to do that so far with their bitter rivals winning the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday largely thanks to the goals of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
The Special One’s time has also been marked with some controversies on and off the pitch with his club finishing second on the table.

Benni McCarthy Reveals How Threat of Job Losses Destabilised Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United
Former Manchester United coach Benni McCarthy has shared how the mass staff sackings at the club had an effect on team performance under ex-manager Erik ten Hag.

“He is not doing too bad with Fenerbahce, unfortunately he’s got a really solid Galatasaray team ahead of him and to break them and get the top spot would be difficult but I think he’s still got a lot to offer,” McCarthy, now head coach of Kenya, told Sporty TV.
“He is reviving a lot of players, players that I had them working at Man United like Fred and Soufiane Amrabat. When you see how they are flourishing under Mourinho at Fenerbahce, he has revived their careers and they are doing exceptionally well.”
McCarthy still believes Mourinho has what it takes to manage another giant club although he feels the 62-year-old is now ripe for an international job, identifying where he thinks the outspoken coach will work next.

Benni McCarthy Reveals His AFCON 2027 Target for Kenya as He Discloses Strategy to Revive Harambee Stars
Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy has explained where he believes Kenya can finish at the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations that the country will co-host alongside Uganda and Tanzania.
“I still think he’s got plenty to offer to world and to European football to manage one of the big teams,” McCarthy further said.
“But I think he is getting into that age where he wants to manage in international football so in the near future, we will see him gunning for the national team job of Portugal because I think that is the one box he still wants to tick.”
Mourinho has previously turned down offers to manage his country Portugal but it seems that is the direction he is heading given some of Europe’s big clubs have been shying away from giving him opportunities in recent years.
