“It was unbelievably stressful…you know, when you work at the biggest club in the world, that's how I saw it, like an institute. They genuinely are the biggest club in the world,” Benni McCarthy shared.
“So, to come from Africa to get the opportunity to work at a place like that with the players that they have is just, oh my God, it's the biggest and the best experience that you can have.
“We won the FA Cup, we won the Carabao Cup when Man City was probably the best version of Man City over the last 10 years that you've seen.
“I thought no team in the world could probably go up against Man City and knock them off their perch, and we did it. We did it twice, we beat them in the Carabao Cup and then knocked them out in the FA Cup final.”
Benni McCarthy remains Manchester United's staunch fan but has raised his concerns following their recent dip in form.
