Rugby Super Series: Lions seek to maul Cheetars as Rhinos set to lock horns with Buffaloes in Nakuru

The Lions will be hoping to build on from their dominant display against Rhinos when they take on the hosts Cheetars in Nakuru, while the Buffaloes and Rhinos will be hoping for a first win.

Saturday, May 11: The Rugby Super Series continues its journey, this time making its way to the South Rift City of Nakuru.

 The first round, held at the RFUEA Grounds, lived up to its billing with two teams securing convincing victories to sit atop the four-team table.

In the early kick-off, the Menengai Cream Cheetahs dominated the Kabras Sugar Buffaloes with an 18-5 victory, while the KCB Bank Lions showcased their prowess by defeating the Faiba Mobile Rhinos 29-7 in the later match.

With these results, the KCB Lions currently lead the table with 5 points, having secured a bonus point in their win. Following closely behind are the Menengai Cream Cheetahs with 4 points, while Kabras Sugar Buffaloes and Faiba Mobile Rhinos lag behind in third and fourth place, respectively, with zero points each.

This weekend's action kicks off with a highly anticipated clash between two formidable opponents, the Kabras Sugar Buffaloes and the Faiba Mobile Rhinos. Kabras has made significant changes to their starting lineup, with seven new faces joining the squad.

Meanwhile, the Faiba Mobile Rhinos have made six personnel changes as they seek to turn their fortunes around.In the later match, the Menengai Cream Cheetahs will host the KCB Bank Lions in what promises to be an enthralling battle.

The home side has made only two personnel changes, while the Lions have made a single alteration to their lineup.Both matches will take place at the Nakuru Athletic Club, with tickets available for purchase on Tikohub.

Regular tickets are priced at Ksh 500, parking tickets at Ksh 200, and VIP tickets, inclusive of parking, at Ksh 2000.Rugby enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating another thrilling round of the Rugby Super Series as the teams vie for supremacy on the field.
