KRU has announced a new structure for Kenya Rugby 15s, appointing coaches for the U20, U18, and U15 teams.

The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has announced a comprehensive reorganization of its Rugby 15s structure, introducing a fresh lineup of coaches for the Under 20, Under 18, and Under 15 teams.

Simon Jawichre, previously the Catholic University's Director of Sports, has taken the reins as the new Kenya Under 20 head coach.

Jawichre succeeds Curtis Olago who will continue his involvement with the Kenya Simbas as an assistant coach alongside Kabras' Carlos Katywa.

Adding to the coaching ensemble, Kenny Andola, a former Kenya Simbas player, makes a notable return as an assistant coach.

Further bolstering the coaching lineup is Paul Odera who will take charge of the Kenya Under 18 team.

Odera's deep understanding of the game and his ability to develop young talent will be invaluable as the Union seeks to strengthen its junior ranks.

Additionally, Biko Adema, a celebrated former Kenya 7s star, has been entrusted with leading the Under 15 team, marking a significant step in his coaching career.

To ensure the smooth operation and development of these teams, Philip Wamae and Joseph Guchu have been appointed as assistant team managers.

Their roles will be crucial in providing the necessary support and assistance to the coaching staff and players, aligning with the KRU's vision of building a robust and competitive Rugby 15s program.

KRU further disclosed that the new organizational framework for the Rugby 15s team will be led by Jerome Paarwater as the program's head.

The announcement comes ahead of the Under 20 team's trials this weekend, as they prepare to compete in the prestigious Barthes Trophy in Zimbabwe this April.

Additionally, an alignment camp for the Simbas is scheduled to take place, highlighting the Union's proactive approach in fostering synergy across all levels.
