Paris 2024 unveils an official ticketing app, enhancing ticket management and resale for the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Paris 2024 Organising Committee has unveiled its official ticketing app this Wednesday introducing a seamless solution for ticket holders ahead of the eagerly anticipated Olympic Games.

The Paris 2024 Tickets app promises to be an indispensable tool for managing purchases, transfers, and accessing the events themselves.

With the Olympic Games set to commence on July 26, the ticketing app is timely. It provides an authorized platform for ticket holders to secure their seats and even resell them through an official channel.

"The Paris 2024 Tickets application is the only official and authorised resale channel: resale is completely transparent for both the seller and the buyer," the Organising Committee emphasized in a recent statement.

The app's launch comes as a crucial step given the high demand for tickets.

The Organising Committee reported that the majority of the events for the Games, spanning from July 26 to August 11, sold out swiftly across multiple sales phases starting last year.

Approximately 8.27 million tickets have been snapped up by eager fans worldwide.

However, there remains an opportunity for enthusiasts to participate, as tickets for Olympic football are still available.

Additionally, many events for the Paralympics, scheduled from August 28 to September 8, are also up for grabs.

Explaining the functionality of the app, Michael Aloisio, the Director General of the Paris organising committee stated on how fans will be allowed into the venues.

"On the day of the Games, only a ticket presented on the Paris 2024 Tickets app will allow access to the venues," he stated.

He further added that the app enables ticket transfers among purchasers and generates QR codes essential for entry.

To enhance security and curb counterfeiting, these QR codes "are not visible at the moment," Aloisio noted during a press briefing.

By centralizing ticket management through an official app, they aim to minimize potential fraud and ensure that all attendees have legitimate access to the events.

Moreover, the Paris 2024 committee is urging all ticket holders to transfer their tickets to their intended recipients now.

This advance transfer will facilitate the dissemination of crucial session information to attendees, ensuring they are well-prepared on the event days.
