Zetech will face KPA in the ladies final while KPA men are yet to book a place in the final.

Zetech Sparks put up a brilliant show to stun former champions Equity Hawks in the semifinal of the Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) women’s Premier League.

The youngsters did not rest on their laurels at any point throughout the match as they kept going for more, a move that paid off well with a dominant 70-40 win.

This is the first time Zetech Sparks has qualified for the final. Last season, the young squad was knocked out in the semifinal stage.

The budding team started off the first quarter with an 18-13 win over Equity before defeating them 20-12 in the second quarter.

The dressing room conversation with coach Sylvia Kamau changed Equity's game plan as they came back to win 11-08 in the third quarter.

Zetech Sparks were in a class of their own in the final quarter as the crowd cheered them on. They managed a 24-04 win to secure a slot in the highly coveted final.

Kenya Pipeline Ladies

Elsewhere at the Kenya Ports Authority Hall in Makande, KPA ladies easily cruised to the final by virtue of their dominant 69-47 win over Strathmore Swords in the semifinal.

They have ended their season unbeaten and will be looking to successfully defend their title when they face-off against Zetech Sparks in the final.

They started the match on a high thrashing Strathmore 23-07 in the first quarter before turning on the style in the second quarter with a 23-13 win.

The third quarter saw the Dockers secure a narrow 15-14 win but Strathmore had other plans when they stunned KPA in the fourth quarter to win 13-08.

There was added time and Strathmore took that to their advantage to secure a 7-1 win but it was not enough to place them ahead of the fired-up KPA squad.

Kenya Pipeline Men

On their part, KPA men's team also annihilated Nairobi City Thunder 78-32 at the same venue. However, they are yet to qualify for the final and must win their next match against Thunder if they are to defend their title.

They started off the match with a dominant 28-06 win over Thunder in the first quarter before charging up to secure a 19-10 victory over them in the second quarter.

In the third quarter, Thunder charged up and upset KPA to secure a narrow 12-11 before KPA took charge in the fourth set to win 20-04.
