The Spanish manager playfully recalled the CBS Sports pundit’s pre-match prediction, leading to the retired defender's response.

Micah Richards apologised to Luis Enrique after Paris Saint-Germain eliminated Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-final.

What happened?

Raphinha put Barcelona 1-0 up on the night — 4-2 on aggregate — but a Ronald Araujo sending-off in the 29th minute turned the second leg on its head.

Goals from Ousmane Dembele, Vitinha and a Kylian Mbappe brace saw the Parisians win 4-1 in Spain, claiming the tie 6-4.

What Luis Enrique said to Micah Richards after the match

In a light-hearted interview with CBS Sports, the former Barcelona boss called out the crew of Kate Abdo, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Richards for backing the Blaugrana over his PSG side.

“I’m really upset with all of you,” joked Enrique, who saw each pundits pick on a YouTube clip. “And all of you predicted that Barcelona will go through to the next phase.”

Carragher then revealed that he had the Parisians advancing at Barcelona’s expense, leading to an apology from Enrique, who understood why Henry selected the Blaugrana due to representing the Spanish side in the 2000s.

Richards retorted: “Luis accept my apology. I went against you, I’m sorry” to which Enrique responded: “You’re guilty. Guilty guy.”

What comes next for Enrique and PSG?

The Ligue 1 side, 10 points clear of second-placed Brest in the topflight, are chasing a first Champions League crown this term. Enrique’s men take on Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals for a place in June’s final at Wembley Stadium.
