Tore Bobe faces defending champions Gor Mahia in a crucial clash with high stakes for both teams at Mambo Leo Stadium.

Shabana FC secretary general Elizaphan Kerama is gearing up for what he predicts will be a challenging encounter against the league leaders Gor Mahia this Saturday at Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Kisumu.

With Gor Mahia sitting comfortably at the top of the table with 60 points and Shabana struggling in 15th place with just 28 points the stakes could not be higher for both teams.

Gor Mahia is eyeing a historic 21st title while Shabana fights to escape the shadows of relegation.

The teams' last meetup saw Gor Mahia securing a narrow 1-0 victory, thanks to a late goal by Rooney Onyang intensifying the anticipation for this rematch.

In a statement before the clash, Kerama expressed confidence in his team's preparation.

"The match between the defending champions Gor Mahia and us is pivotal. With both teams poised to fight vigorously for every point, the atmosphere is electrifying. We are prepared to battle for maximum points," he wrote.

Kerama’s call to action for Shabana supporters highlights the critical nature of the match.

The administrator urges fans to fill the stands and provide unwavering support as the team strives to secure a vital win to move away from the relegation zone.

Following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Sofapaka last weekend Shabana's morale is boosted but the road ahead remains daunting.

The fixture on Saturday is not just a game but a significant event that could dictate the future for both clubs.

For Shabana, a win could mean a step away from relegation, while for Gor Mahia it is an opportunity to inch closer to another league title.

Shabana’s upcoming fixtures include a series of challenging matches against top and middle-tier teams making their campaign against Gor Mahia even more critical.
