FKFPL Nzoia Sugar salivating for second place in clash against Ulinzi Stars

The Sugar Millers have not won any of their five previous matches.

Nzoia Sugar FC are set to face off against Ulinzi Stars in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match scheduled for Tuesday, March 28 at the Sudi Stadium.

Nzoia Sugar will be itching to turn the tables with a win over Ulinzi considering they have not won any of their previous five matches.

The Sugar Millers drew in three matches against Posta Rangers, FC Talanta, table leaders Gor Mahia and Kenya Police FC and lost one to Bandari.

Nzoia had maintained an impressive run and were in title contention but dropped off after they began posting mixed results.

However, they will be keen to embrace winning ways as they seek to beat Ulinzi at their home turf.

Having two of their midfielders Hassan Beja and Joseph Mwangi summoned to the national team, Harambee Stars will also come as a morale booster for them. The duo was, although, not included in the final squad of the friendly match against Iran.

On their part, Ulinzi has only managed to win three of their nine matches played away from home. They come into the match after a draw against Gor Mahia in their previous fixture.

In their previous four matches, they have posted mixed results after winning two of their matches against Nairobi City Stars (2-0) and Kajiado FC (2-0) in the FKF Cup. Their match against Posta Rangers, however, saw them lose 0-1.

They will also face a daunting task in pursuit of a win as they will be playing on unfamiliar ground. They currently lie sixth on the table behind Nzoia.
