CAF President celebrates as Morocco, Portugal, and Spain secure FIFA World Cup 2030 bid, uniting continents in football euphoria.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has joyously extended its congratulations to Morocco and its esteemed partners, Portugal and Spain, following the momentous decision by the FIFA Council to endorse their joint bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2030.

This groundbreaking announcement marks a historic occasion as the FIFA World Cup returns to Africa for the second time in its century-long history.

Morocco, in collaboration with Portugal and Spain, is set to be the stage for the football extravaganza that will captivate the world in 2030.

However, the excitement is tempered with the understanding that the award is contingent upon a successful bidding process, meticulously conducted by the FIFA Administration, and ultimately subject to the approval of the FIFA Congress.

In a statement Patrice Motsepe, the President of CAF, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration.

"CAF is excited to congratulate Morocco and its partners Portugal and Spain for the decision by the FIFA Council, endorsing Morocco, Portugal and Spain to host the FIFA World Cup 2030," Motsepe exuded confidence in the partnership's success, both in the bidding process and the final endorsement by the FIFA Congress.

The South African football administrator emphasized the unifying power of the collaboration, bringing together continents and inspiring a collective effort to contribute to global harmony through the universal language of football.

Motsepe extended gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Government, and the people of Morocco for their unwavering support in the bid.

Acknowledging the pivotal role played by various stakeholders, Motsepe praised the CAF Executive Committee and the Member Associations representing the 54 African countries for their resolute support.

A special commendation was reserved for Fouzi Lekjaa, the President of the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football, for his exceptional leadership throughout the bid process.

In CAF's view, the prospect of Morocco hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2030 is more than a sporting event; it symbolizes a significant stride towards the development and growth of football in Africa.

Africa, boasting the fastest-growing youth population globally, stands to gain immeasurable benefits from the global showcase.

The continent football governing body firmly believes that the event will serve as a catalyst, inspiring the African youth to embrace the beautiful game, fostering unity and providing a platform for talent to flourish.
