The former Nairobi City Stars' player career has been on an upward trajectory after proving his potential during his days at Kaiser Hill Academy.

The enterprising defender's performance did not go unnoticed after he moved to IF Elfsborg in 2022 and later scored his first goal in the Swedish top league in 2024.

On February 2, 2025, Ouma signed a long-term contract with Slavia Prague until June 2029. Ouma only made one appearance for the senior team this season, playing 67 minutes.

Now, with Slavia crowned champions, the club is preparing for the Champions League, and Ouma is set to be part of that exciting journey.

Ouma, 20, has become the go to left back for Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy with his darting runs becoming a secret attacking weapon.

By playing champions league football next season, Ouma will join the ranks of former Kenyan players who have competed in the Champions League, including McDonald Mariga and Victor Wanyama.

The duo made a mark in Europe's premier competition.

Wanyama became the first ever Kenyan player to score in the UEFA Champions League when he scored the first goal in Celtic's 2–1 win over Barcelona on 7 November 2012.

In 2010, Mariga became the first Kenyan footballer to play in and win the UEFA Champions League for Inter Milan.
