Mohamed Salah continues to set new milestones with Liverpool after a superb cameo against Toulouse in the Europa League

Egyptian legend Mohamed Salah continued to cement his place as one of the greatest players in Liverpool and Premier League history after knocking down another milestone during the Reds’ UEFA Europa League win over Toulouse.

Salah scores in Europa League to create historic milestone

Salah scored a late goal in the third minute of additional time to complete a 5-1 whitewash of the French side at Anfield, and in the process, he wrote his name into Premier League and European folklore.

Despite not starting the match, Salah still managed to get on the scoresheet. He took his tally in this season’s Europa League to two goals in three games, despite starting only one of those games.

His goals in Europe this season have now taken his overall count for Liverpool in major European competitions to 43 goals, making him an instant club and league record holder.

Salah becomes England’s top scorer in Europe

With 43 goals across the UEFA Champions League and Europa League for Liverpool, Salah has now become the player with the most goals in European competitions for any English club in history.

Salah became Liverpool’s top scorer in European competitions last season in the UCL during the Reds’ round of 16 loss to Real Madrid and has now taken his exploits a step further by becoming the top dog for all English teams.

The Egyptian forward also holds the distinction of being Liverpool’s top scorer in the Premier League with 144 goals, and has gone from strength to strength after his 2017 move to Merseyside from Roma.
