Bayern Munich executive rubbishes reports surrounding Leroy Sane's future.
Bayern Munich director Christoph Freund has dismissed talks of a contract standoff between the club and star winger Leroy Sane, claiming they are rubbish and unfounded.
The 28-year-old Germany international has been in inspired form this season and currently has 16 goal contributions in 18 games. His combination with Harry Kane has proved lethal for the Bavarians this season, but it could be shortlived, as his contract expires in the summer of 2025.

Freund suggests that they are currently holding negotiations with the player’s camp over further intertwining his future with theirs and that reports claiming otherwise are false.

“Reports of talks not taking place with Leroy Sané over a new deal are fake,” he said, per Fabrizio Romano.
“This is the best Leroy Sané Bayern has had so far. He's one of the players on whom we want to build the future of the team.”
Meanwhile, FC Barcelona are reportedly preparing to make a move for Sane in the summer of 2024, with Real Madrid also said to be interested.
