Gor Mahia will be hoping they can ammend their indifferent form in the league by reaching the FKF Cup final, while high-flying Kenya Police will be hoping to down Mara Sugar to reach the semis.
Reigning FKF Premier League champions Gor Mahia will be hoping to overcome Murang’a Seal when both sides face each other for the second time in seven days in the FKF Cup semi final taking time at Dandora Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Gor Mahia have struggled for much of the season, having changed coaches four times throughout the season, and have had a myriad of problems off the pitch that have affected their title campaign in the process.
In the league, they sit second on 53 points, a whole five behind Kenya Police (more on them below) with two games to go.
With their title challenge now looking unrealistic, the side, who recently parted ways with head coach Sinisa Mihic after just three months in the job, know they must win the cup at any cost to stand a chance of playing continental football next season.

Gor Mahia Have Beaten Murang’a Seal Just Once Before
K’Ogalo have struggled to beat Murang’a Seal since their promotion to the top flight back in 2023. In four clashes, they have managed to overcome them only once, which was in May 2024 when they beat them 3-1 at the SportPesa Arena in Murang’a.
Last Sunday, they faced each other at the same venue, but were held to an underwhelming draw.
Midfielder Enock Morrison admits that the 21-time league champions’ pride is on the line ahead of their clash.

Mashemeji Derby to Be Played Out of Nairobi as Gor Mahia Confirm Date and Venue
Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards fans have to brace themselves for a first Mashemeji Derby outside Nairobi after K’Ogalo revealed the date and venue for the high stakes clash.
Meanwhile, Kenya Police will be hoping to keep their hopes of completing the double alive by beating Mara Sugar in a clash to be played at the same venue - Dandora - from 1:00 PM to reach the semi-finals.
Police are the reigning FKF Cup holders, and therefore know that a win for them would make them the first side to complete the league and cup double since Tusker in 2016.
The winner of the clash match will battle it out in the semi finals against Nairobi United who recently earned promotion to the top flight after a 2-1 win over 3K FC on Friday.
The match was initially postponed due to a legal dispute involving AFC Leopards and Mara Sugar over their round of 32 clash, which was only settled last week.
Mara advanced to the quarters with a 2-0 victory over Compel FC on Wednesday, while Police booked their place after a comfortable 2-0 win against Kapenguria Heroes over a month ago.
