We were far better than Liverpool — PSG boss Enrique declares after UCL defeat
Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique Martínez expressed his disappointment and frustration following Liverpool's 1-0 defeat in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.
Liverpool head coach Arne Slot was generous in his praise for Alisson, hailing him as the best goalkeeper in the world.
"I have had some very good players as a manager, but never the best goalkeeper in the world until now," Slot said.
"He showed that he is the best in the world today. To go away with a win here was probably a bit more than we deserved."
Alisson himself was humble in his assessment but acknowledged that it was arguably the finest performance of his career. "It was probably the performance of my life," he said.
"The manager told us how hard it would be to play against PSG, how good they are with the ball, and that we would have to be ready to suffer. We knew what was coming."
Liverpool will fancy their chances at Anfield next week, where they have lost just once this season.
Regardless of PSG's game plan in the second leg, Reds fans will be confident in their Brazilian safety net between the sticks.
