Botswana sprint sensation Letsile Tebogo lowered his personal best as he stormed to victory in the 400m at the ASA Grand Prix in Pretoria, South Africa on Monday night.
Tebogo had promised fireworks in the race and he delivered with a great run, leaving his rivals in his wake.
The 20-year-old took command of the race at the second bend with none of his competitors coming close to him as he won the race in an impressive 44.29, shaving a huge chunk from his previous personal best of 44.75.

The 400m world record is certainly under a threat as Letsile Tebogo has confirmed where he will be racing next.
It was another dominant display for Tebogo who is showing remarkable form and consistency and it comes less than a month since he smashed the 300m world record by running 30.69 still in Pretoria in February.
The world 100m silver and 200m bronze medallist has now run an U20 world record after clocking 9.91 in 100m, 19.50 in 200m and 9.88 in 100m and better times cannot be ruled out on the evidence of his early 2024 form.
Tebogo was explosive off the blocks under humid conditions in Pretoria before slowing down only to accelerate at the halfway mark of the race to claim victory effortlessly.
The 20-year-old’s form should delight him ahead of the Paris Olympics where he is bidding to become the second athlete from his country to win a medal at the event after Nijel Amos’ silver in 800m from the 2012 London Games.
