Ferdinand Omanyala will aiming for glory at the 2024 World Indoor Championships where he will be facing rivals Lyles and Coleman in a high-stakes 60m race.

The 2024 World Indoor Track and Field Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, is setting the stage for an electrifying showdown as top athletes from across the globe converge to showcase their prowess.

Scheduled from Friday 1 to Sunday 3 March, this prestigious event, hosted in the 6,500-capacity Emirates Arena in Dalmarnock is a precursor to the much-anticipated 2024 Paris Olympic Games. 

With 651 competitors from over 130 nations, the championships promise a thrilling spectacle of 26 events, evenly split between men and women.

Among the star-studded lineup is Ferdinand Omanyala, the Commonwealth Games 100m champion, known for shattering his own national 60m record with a time of 6.51 in Bercy on February 11. 

Omanyala's participation has been highly anticipated, especially as he is set to go head-to-head with some of the biggest names in sprints, including USA's Noah Lyles and Christian Coleman.

 Lyles, the current world 100m and 200m champion, seeks to add a world indoor medal to his collection, boasting a personal best of 6.43 this year. 

Meanwhile, Coleman, the record holder with a time of 6.34 in the same arena six years prior, promises to make this competition one for the history books.

For fans eager to catch every moment of this exhilarating competition, especially the men's 60m heats featuring Omanyala, Lyles, and Coleman, the event has made comprehensive arrangements for global broadcasting. 

The heats are scheduled to stream live at 15:10 East Africa Time on Saturday, followed by the semifinals at 21:45, and the finale at 23:45 hrs.
