The Kenya 15s coach was encouraged by their first half display on Saturday but feels they have the capacity to produce more
Kenya Simbas head coach Jerome Paarwater wants his charges to adopt his methods quickly if they have to make improvements to their game for future success.
Paarwater watched his team lose their second straight Currie Cup First Division tie following an 18-7 reverse to Eastern Province Elephants in Port Alfred, South Africa on Saturday, having failed to sustain their first-half momentum in the second stanza.

RUGBY: Simbas stare at winless tour after suffering more Currie Cup pain
Kenya were unable to bounce back from their opening loss to Rhinos as Eastern Province Elephants left them facing the prospect of leaving South Africa empty-handed
The hosts took a slender 10-7 lead at the break, courtesy of a converted try and penalty. Hillary Mwanjilwa had touched down for Kenya after being set up by Joel Inzuga before South African-born Ntabeni Dukisa converted.
However, Simbas were unable to get further points after the break with the home side adding three more from the spot, before a late try off a maul saw them secure the 18-7 win.

Katywa broke down the schedule of the side’s training sessions and declared clarity session a success.
While expressing his encouragement at his team’s first-half display, Paarwater feels they have the potential to produce more if they pick up the lessons much faster.
“We want the team to stick to the program. I know there is a lot of new stuff I have introduced to them but as much as this is a building phase for the whole team, they have to learn quickly,” Paarwater said, as quoted by KRU Media.
Simbas had beaten the Elephants 41-24 in Nairobi last year but found the going tough at this year’s tournament dubbed Mzansi Challenge.
Paarwater’s men, who lost 32-22 to San Clemente Rhinos in their first match, are starring at the prospect of leaving South Africa empty-handed unless they beat Boarder Bulldogs on Saturday.

RUGBY Kenya to host three Currie Cup matches
Simbas will play in the second tier of the 2023 South African Currie Cup.
Kenya are paying the price for poor preparations after lack of funds saw them miss the first two fixtures of the tournament against Boland Cavaliers and Leopards in Potchefstroom.
They arrived in South Africa just hours to their match against Rhinos, having risked being kicked out of the event if they failed to honour the tournament.
