The sponsorship package will include the FIVB High-Performance training set for Morocco later this month and will lead up to the FIVB Challenger Cup.

Malkia Strikers have received a major financial boost after gaming firm Mozzart Bet, on Wednesday, July 5 signed a two-year Ksh 15 million sponsorship with them.

Mozzart were the sponsor of the Women’s team and, their sponsorship is a continuation of their support for the team. The deal will run until July 2025.

The sponsorship has also come at a crucial time for the ladies as they are preparing to jet out of the country for their maiden appearance in the FIVB Challenger Cup and African Nations Championships set for July and August respectively.

As reported by Daily Nation, the sponsorship package will include the FIVB High-Performance training set for Morocco later this month and will lead up to the FIVB Challenger Cup scheduled for July 27 to 30 in Laval, France.

"We thank Mozzart Bet for renewing our partnership. Last year when all seemed lost, they came on board and necessitated our stay in Brazil and Netherlands during the World Championship. The girls were on a go slow after the government failed to pay their allowances as it was in transition process but Mozzart Bet came in and made it possible," Paul Bitok, Malkia Strikers' assistant coach said during the event.

"We hope that we will reward their commitment and the good gesture by reclaiming the African title."

The acting KVF President Charles Nyaberi was also present during the event and he affirmed Kenya's quest to be the best.

"From our marketing department, we have promised to give you (Mozzart Bet) enough visibility during training and in our pressers, added with us buying into the idea of responsible betting," Nyaberi added.

Meanwhile, Kenya will open its campaign in the Challenger Cup on July 27 in the knockouts, where they will face Colombia, Mexico, Vietnam, Sweden, Ukraine, and the hosts, France. The team will jet out of the country on Friday, July 7.
