Both teams are currently on a good run of form and possess long unbeaten runs.

With their last victory coming back in 2019, KCB FC head coach Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno is looking to put an end to their poor record against AFC Leopards in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match on Sunday.

The Bankers, who are still undefeated this year, are third on the table with 33 points and will be facing Leopards who are also riding on a fine run of form.

Asked whether he will look to pick up their first win over AFC Leopards since 2019, Zico noted that he will hope his team can carry forward their good run against Ingwe

"As a team and technical bench we are very focused, we are doing a very good job at the moment as a team. We hope that the good run will continue come Sunday," said Zico.

The former Gor Mahia assistant coach, who will only be missing Rama Mwenda through injury says that his players will give their best as usual in the high stake match.

“It is going to be a very interesting match as currently, both teams are in good form. AFC Leopards have gone eight matches without defeat and for us, we have gone ten matches without defeat.

So I think it will be a good match for the fans and I hope at the end of the day KCB will emerge victorious,” he said.

Zico also sent a clear warning to Leopards saying that his side is ready for the clash as their preparations began just after thrashing Vihiga Bullets 3-0 away last weekend.

“We have trained well after the match against Vihiga. We began our training on Tuesday and everything is going on as planned,” he added.

It will be interesting for fans to see how both teams perform in the match that will be played at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

A win for KCB, who are placed third in the league standings, will take Zico's charges to second place which will leave them trailing Gor Mahia by a single point.

AFC Leopards are currently placed seventh on the log standings and if they silence the Bankers they will move to the fourth place on the log.

In the head-to-head stats, KCB and AFC Leopards have met 11 times since 2014. The Bankers have won two compared to four for the Ingwe, while five matches have been drawn.
