Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara has been linked with a move away from the Reds this summer, with Turkey Super Lig side Galatasaray said to be keen on landing him.

The 32-year-old Spain international joined the Merseyside outfit in the summer of 2020 from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich on a four-year deal.

Next season marks the final year of his contract, sparking interest from clubs. The Cimbom have been named as one of the suitors for the services of the Spanish-Brazilian.

The former Barcelona man continues to be subject of reports linking him away from the six-time Champions League winners, with only one season remaining on his contract.

According to a previous report by the Athletic, the former Bayern Munich midfielder was courted by Saudi Arabia, as part of the Gulf country's attempts to improve the profile of their league, however, he was said to have turned down their offer.

Following his preference to not move to Saudi, he is said to have been approached by the vice president of Galatasaray Erden Timur who has made a number of trips to England in the last few weeks.

Thiago is claimed to have been offered a very good financial package by the Galatasaray representative. Timur is also said to have spoken to Liverpool to discuss a possible transfer fee.
