It was yet another unfruitful outing for Batoto ba Mungu whose tactician lashed out at the referee.

Sofapaka head coach David Ouma has slammed the state of refereeing after watching his side being outclassed by Tusker FC on Sunday.

The Brewers beat Sofapaka 2-0 in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match at Ruaraka Grounds.

However, the Batoto ba Mungu mentor was not pleased with how they lost to the hosts and wagged his finger at the referee Susan Nyambura.

“Before we conceded the first goal, there was an incident where my striker Abuko was on the counter but was brought down by the last man in the Tusker defense. That was supposed to be a penalty and a red card to the player,” lamented Ouma.

For the larger part of the match, a frustrated Ouma was captured on cameras remonstrating with the referee or sometimes ranting at the Brewers bench.

“There was another occasion where my player shot the ball, and the Tusker player handled the ball in the box, but the referee waved on. I must say this; the game was too big for that referee,” he added.

Nonetheless, following the encounter, Ouma admitted that his side was surprised at how Tusker took the fight to the Batoto ba Mungu.

“It was a tough game because I expected the match to be a little more physical playing against Tusker. They were very good with long balls, and we conceded from a long ball, but I think it was 1-0 for Tusker,” he concluded.
