The 'Abana Abeingo' are hoping to make it four consecutive victories in the top-flight for the first time this season.

Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Patrick Odhiambo is calling for consistency from his players ahead of their Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) match against Nairobi City Stars on Wednesday.

Odhiambo admits his side has had a tough stretch of matches, but if they want to be among the top finishers in the league, they need to get good results in the remaining eight games.

City Stars have recorded two consecutive wins, and they will not want to lose further ground as they are four points above the red zone, and will not be an easy side at home.

However, Odhiambo is confident in his troops and expects them to be consistent enough to grind out a positive result.

“We got three points against Vihiga Bullets, and I thank my players for showing determination.

A couple of games are remaining, and to achieve our targets, it will all come from concentration and consistency from my players,” he said.

On Wednesday, Homeboyz will face City Stars in what promises to be a blockbuster at Kasarani Annex in Nairobi.

The two sides have always produced entertaining matches, and Odhiambo is expecting the same even this time.

“It is going to be a tough game like always but we will approach the game in the same way as others, same focus, the same concentration, and the same desire and determination to win,” he added.

Homeboyz have recorded three wins in the past four matches and are currently placed seventh on the log with 38 points from 26 games.

City Stars, on their side, are 15th on the log with 26 points after playing the same number of matches.
