Barcelona have reportedly completed the signing of Ilkay Gundogan on a two-plus-one-year deal.

Awaiting official confirmation, Barcelona have reportedly completed the signing of Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan.

The 30-year-old midfielder's contract with the Cityzens expires at the end of the season, and he was named in the official list of players being released by the club.

Despite a treble-winning season and an offer to renew on the table by the Premier League champions, the Germany international will play for Barcelona next season, barring unforeseen circumstances.

Gundogan to Barcelona

According to multiple reports, including the Spanish publication Sport, the Blaugrana have completed the signing of the midfielder.

He is said to have completed his medicals today and put pen to paper for a two-year deal, with an option to extend for one more year.

The contract, which is valid until 2025 with an option to extend until 2026, will reportedly include a €500 million release clause.

Gundogan's signing becomes the third deal the LaLiga champions are said to have completed, the first two being Inigo Martinez, also on a free transfer, and young defender Mikhail Faye.

Meanwhile, in another racist incident like Vinicius Jr, 18-year-old Nigerian star James Nnaji, who plays for Barcelona, suffered racial abuse from Real Madrid fans.

FC Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 82-93 in Game 3 of the best-of-five El Clasico final series to claim their 20th Spanish League title.
