Carlo Ancelotti's son Davide has opted against taking up one of three coaching offers on the table to continue working as his father's assistant.

Carlo and Davide Ancelotti's separation was short-lived.

After departing Real Madrid, the soon-to-be 66-year-old coach, now appointed manager of Brazil, will once again have his son as his assistant after Davide reportedly turned down offers to manage Glasgow Rangers, Basel and Deportivo La Coruna.

Davide Ancelotti, 35, will join the Brazilian national team this weekend as they prepare for their second match since Carlo's arrival (his debut was a lackluster 0-0 draw against Ecuador).

Tuesday night, the Selecao host Paraguay and need a victory. They are only four points ahead of the seventh-placed team, Venezuela, which currently occupies the playoff spot, with three qualifying matches remaining for the 2026 World Cup.

Davide Ancelotti, who has been Carlo Ancelotti's assistant coach since 2015 at Napoli, Everton, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid, has been officially announced by the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation).

“The CBF is pleased to announce that Davide Ancelotti will arrive in Sao Paulo this weekend to join the coaching staff of the Brazilian national team. Carlo Ancelotti's son will be one of his assistant coaches," CBF confirmed.

Davide Ancelotti's arrival to the national team represents a new step for the CBF in its pursuit of fresh ideas and technical improvement.

His international experience and training methodologies will be essential for player development and building an even more competitive team.

“The CBF welcomes Davide Ancelotti and is confident that his presence will be a significant boost as the Brazilian national team strives to achieve its goals,” stated the Brazilian Confederation.
