FOOTBALL FKF Cup : Bandari dumped out by Bungoma Stars, FC Talanta overcome unfriendly Marafiki on penalties

Here is the round up of FKF Cup Sunday action as Bandari becomes the first top flight team to be bundled out of the cup.

Bungoma Stars 2-1 Bandari

Bandari were bundled out of this season’s FKF Cup in humiliating version as they lost 2-1 to Bungoma Stars in a match played at the Sudi Stadium on Sunday.

Bungoma opened the scoring in the 22nd minute to give them the lead heading into the break, but Derrick Nsibambi restored parity for the visitors in the 57th minute.

Their lead did not last long, as Bungoma netted the second and winning goal through  Meshack Makoha to send them into the next round.

Bandari will now have to fight for the league title to stand a chance of qualifying for next season’s continental competition.

Marafiki 0-0 Talanta ( Talanta proceed 3-1  on penalties)

FC Talanta have proceed 3-1 on penalties after beating Marafiki FC of Nyeri 3-1 on penalties after the game ended in a 0-0 draw.

Al Azizia 1-1 Luanda Villa ( Al Aziza proceed 4-3 on penalties)

Al Aziza have qualified for the round of 32 after knocking out Luanda Villa 4-3 on penalties on Sunday.

Timothy Ndayala opened the scoring for Luanda Villa in the 40th minute, but in the 69th minute, Al Azizia equalised 

Eldoro 0-2 Mombasa Stars

A brace by Mombasa Stars’ Emmanuel Nyamawi in  the fifth and 15th minute was enough to send Mombasa Stars into the round of 32.
