Batoto ba Mungu could complete a league double over their stricken hosts.

One time Kenyan champions Sofapaka are favored to win just their 7th league game when they play relegation-bound Vihiga Bullets at Bukhungu Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. Sofapaka are struggling but Vihiga bullets are hopeless.

The Batoto ba Mungu are winless in five matches after losing 3-2 to Wazito on April 25, and they also extended their winless run to six games after going down to Ulinzi Stars in FKF Cup over the weekend.

Sofapaka is placed 13th in the league, standing six points above the relegation zone, but Vihiga Bullets have a game at hand.

David Ouma’s charges have claimed 11 points from 12 away matches this season, with their last result on the road being a 1-1 draw against FC Talanta on April 17.

Sofapaka will be without the services of Austine Wahongo, who is set to serve his one-match suspension against Vihiga.

Vihiga Bullets suffered five successive defeats when they were beaten 3-1 away to Ulinzi Stars on April 17. Milton Kidiga ’s coached side has just registered two wins this season.

Bullets have claimed seven points from 12 home matches this season, with their last result at home a 2-0 loss at Kakamega Homeboyz on April 23.

Vihiga have no suspension worries, but their striker Collins Odhiambo is likely to miss the game due to an injury.

Bullets are currently at the bottom of the table with eight points, and they must win the remaining seven fixtures, including the match against Sofapaka, to guarantee their safety in the league.

In head-to-head stats, Sofapaka and Vihiga Bullets have met three times, with Batoto ba Mungu winning the matches.

When the teams met earlier this season at Kasarani Annex on January 28, Sofapaka was awarded a 2-0 win after Vihiga failed to travel to Nairobi due to logistical reasons.
