The incident at Dandora Stadium on February 1, was so bad that Otieno had to be treated on the field before further medication at the Metropolitan Hospital in Buruburu for scans, and Oluoch was there all through.

Expressing his sincere gratitude to Oluoch, Otieno told Mozzart Sport: "l would like to thank my Posta teammates and friends from Gor Mahia  for their kindness and support. I also appreciate the efforts of my mentor, Oluoch made.

"He has always held my hand since I was a kid  and continues to play the father-figure role. Last week I walked to the hospital for check ups and tests. The doctor said  I was free to start light training from next week."

Oluoch, 38, has played club football for Tusker and Gor Mahia, and made his international debut for national team Harambee Stars in 2010.

In Otieno's absence, Posta Rangers have managed one win and a draw their their last three matches.

Posta beat Shabana 2-1;on February 9 before a 2-2 and 1-1 all draw against Kariobangi Sharks and Mara Sugar respectively.

Otieno will hope to regain his place in the starting lineup when the team takes on KCB on March 1.
