Murang’a Seal coach Abdallah Juma has explained why Yasin Sije did not play against his parent club AFC Leopards last Sunday.

Murang’a Seal head coach Abdallah Juma has explained why new loanee Yasin Sije did not feature against AFC Leopards during their 1-0 loss to the 13 time league champions on Sunday.

Seal lost courtesy of a Victor Omune goal to consign them to three consecutive losses under Abdallah, who has remained adamant the team will turn around its fortunes by the end of the season.

Sije was signed on loan from AFC Leopards after struggling to make an impact there,  but was not able to take part in the match.

Now, Juma has explained why this was the unfortunate case.

“We had a big problem in the striking department and we are blessed to have signed a good striker from AFC Leopards,” Juma said.

“He was supposed to actually have played  against his parent club but through the negotiations, they agreed not to (as part of a clause in the loan contract).”

Juma believes Sije, alongside other experienced new signings will help the side achieve its target of staying in the division at the first time of asking.

“Sije is a good striker but I am confident things will get better because if you look at the input that the likes of (Joe) Waithera, input of Denno (Odhiambo) and Sije, we will have top cream experienced players who will help the team.”
