Today’s action will begin at 6:45 pm and will be streamed live on the World Athletics YouTube page.

Edinah Jebitok, Judith Kiyeng, and Nelly Chepchirchir will battle it out with Dutchwoman Sifan Hassan in the 1500m at the FBK Games in Hengelo, Netherlands which started on Saturday, June 3, and will draw curtains today, June 4.

Hassan has proven to be unbeatable this season since she made her debut at the London Marathon which saw her clinch the title in the dramatic race. She took a break and then returned with an impressive win in the 10,000m at yesterday’s race.

She clocked a world lead of 29:37.80 to cut the tape ahead of 19-year-old Grace Nawowuna of Kenya who also impressed.

Sifan will be the one to beat as she lines up for the 1500m race but the Kenyan trio will also be on the lookout for victory. Jebitok, 21, has not had a great season on the track since the year started and she will be hoping to right her wrongs as she lines up for the races.

She faded to finish ninth at the Kip Keino Classic and this will be her chance to prove herself. On her part, Kiyeng has been impeccable form and she will be hoping to maintain the momentum as she takes on the tough field.

She won the 800m race at the just-concluded Kenya Defense Championships and finished second over the 1500m. She also managed a third-place finish in the 5000m at the Kip Keino Classic.

Youngster Chepchirchir will be hoping to upset the oldies as she steps foot on the track. She has also had a great season so far which saw her win the 800m race in Grosseto, Italy before winning the 1500m race in Montreuil, France.

Today’s action will begin at 6:45 pm and will be streamed live on the World Athletics YouTube page.
