The reigning world 100m champion revealed that she was thrilled to see the fans show up in large numbers to support the athletes.

Sha’Carri Richardson added that track and field deserves that kind of recognition, noting that she is thrilled to see what Athlos has in store for the fans.

“Watching my co-trainers as well as my fellow athletes competing continues to show that track and field deserves the audience that it needs. The audience here cannot wait, and also cannot wait for Athlos to show up as well,” Sha’Carri Richardson revealed.

Olympic 100m silver medallist Sha’Carri Richardson was named alongside Olympic 200m champion Gabby Thomas and Olympic long jump champion Tara Davis-Woodhall as an advisor-owner for the league.

"I’ve always believed that my journey was preparing me for something bigger than myself. With ATHLOS, I get to help shape the future of a sport that’s given me so much. It’s not just about running; it’s about building something that lasts for the next generation," Sha’Carri Richardson said upon her confirmation.

Alexis Ohanian announced that Athlos is set to make even greater moves in 2026. The first edition of the meet was held in 2024 and offered a historical prize money and a performance by Grammy Award-winning artist Megan Thee Stallion.

This year’s edition will be held in New York City on October 10, having promised more exciting lineups. In 2026, Alexis Ohanian has bold plans to make the event even more interesting.

For now, Sha’Carri Richardson has yet to confirm whether she will be competing at the event in October, but she remains an advisor-owner for the league.
