Jackson has been competing in a couple of 400m races but has not been very much dedicated to it.

Two-time World 200m champion Shericka Jackson will be returning to the 400m in the 2024 track and field season.

The Jamaican has been competing in the one-lap race but has not been very intentional about it. This season, she competed in four 400m races where she won three and finished third in one, the Miramar Invitational Meet.

She bagged wins at the Queen's/Grace Jackson Track Meet, GC Foster Classics and at the MVP Velocity Fest 12.

During an Instagram Question and Answer session with MVP Track and Field Club a fan asked if Jackson would be running the 400m next season. The admin of the page confirmed by saying: “Of course!!!”

The Diamond League Final Trophy winner then reposted the chat to confirm that she will definitely be running the 400m next season.

The MVP Track and Field Club was established to provide Jamaican athletes a Jamaican option for post-high school track and field training

The Olympic Games will be next year in Paris, France, and the World 100m silver medallist might just be competing in the 400m, however, she has yet to clarify that.

Jackson has had a stellar 2023 season and as she takes a break from the track, she will be planning on how to make a resounding comeback.

She was unbeaten in the 200m and eventually carried the day at the Prefontaine Classic, the final Diamond League Meeting. Despite finishing second in the 100m at the World Championships, she announced her presence at the Diamond League Meeting final, securing a double.

She has been in great shape and was hoping to shatter the 200m world record but unfortunately missed it. However, she will have another shot at it next year.
