Meanwhile, at the event, the world record holder in the 60m failed to impress as he faltered and finished fifth in 20.46. The World Indoor champion was off to a poor start that affected the whole execution of his race.

However, he has been in great form since the season started with the indoor races where he silenced triple World champion Noah Lyles to take the top honours in the hotly contested race. Lyles finished second with Jamaican wunderkind Ackeem Blake sealing the podium in the race.

The American then proceeded to the Diamond League Meeting in Xiamen, China, where he oozed class to claim the top prize before proceeding to the meeting in Suzhou/Shanghai, where he finished second behind South Africa’s Akani Simbine.

Meanwhile, Richardson has yet to win a race since opening her season at the Diamond League Meeting in Xiamen where she finished second behind Australian wunderkind Torrie Lewis. She then finished third at the Diamond League Meeting in Suzhou/Shanghai in the race that was won by Great Britain’s Daryl Neita.
