The biggest track and field stars dominated the Diamond League Meeting in Lausanne as preparations gather pace ahead of the Diamond League Meeting final in Zurich.
Triple world champion Noah Lyles and Olympic 800m champion Keely Hodgkinson were among the stars who braved the chilly weather, looking to continue their impressive returns from injury. Olympic 800m champion Emmanuel Wanyonyi was also among the top athletes who toed the line.

Diamond League Lausanne: Oblique Seville Beats Noah Lyles Again
Oblique Seville dominated the men's 100m and beat Noah Lyles for the second time in a month, in an emphatic way. He streaked away from the field and crossed the line ahead of the rest of the field in 9.87 seconds.
Noah Lyles edged Ackeem Blake to second in a photo finish. The Olympic 100m champion has now suffered three straight defeats in this Diamond League season, twice at the hands of Seville and will be desperate to silence the doubts in the coming weeks.
Diamond League Lausanne: Emmanuel Wanyonyi Beaten to Second
The wet conditions brought another upset in the 800m, as Emmanuel Wanyonyi suffered a rare defeat. The Olympic champion controlled the race early, but Marco Arop and Max Burgin edged ahead on the back straight.
As Emmanuel Wanyonyi fought back in the final stretch, Josh Hoey stormed past the field to snatch his maiden Diamond League victory in 1:42.82.
Diamond League Lausanne: Masai Russell Stunned in Women's 100m Hurdles
Nadine Visser was the unexpected victor in the women's 100m hurdles. The Dutch star got into her stride quickly and surged away from Olympic champion Masai Russell and world record holder Tobi Amusan to claim only the fourth Diamond League win of her career.
She crossed the finish line in a time of 12.45 seconds as Masai Russell finished second in 12.53 seconds. Ditaji Kambundji rounded up the podium as Amusan finished a distant fifth.
Diamond League Lausanne: Brittany Brown Triumphs
Reigning Diamond League champion Brittany Brown claimed her first Diamond League win with a 22.23-second run in the women's 200m.
She had to dig deep as Marie-Josée Ta Lou-Smith and Favour Ofili snapped at her heels in the last 50 metres, but the American held her nerve to claim a crucial win and secure qualification for the final next week.
Ta Lou-Smith clocked a season's best of 22.37 seconds in third as Ofili came in second in 22.31 seconds.
Diamond League Lausanne: Women’s 400m Report
The women’s 400m saw a fierce showdown as Lieke Klaver stormed ahead and seemed untouchable with 100m left, but was forced to take second as she clocked 50.17 seconds.
However, Norway’s Henriette Jaeger dug deep, surging down the home straight to snatch victory on the line as she clocked 50.09 seconds.
American Isabella Whittaker rounded up the podium in a time of 50.63 as world leader Salwa Eid Naser faded late and crossed the finish line in fifth.
Diamond League Lausanne: Keely Hodgkinson Strikes 800m Course Record
Keely Hodgkinson was also impressive as she continued her extraordinary return from injury with a second successive Diamond League win.
The reigning world 800m bronze medallist shook off South Africa’s Prudence Sekgodiso in the last 300 metres.
She clocked a meeting record of 1:55.69, one that had stood for 23 years before this evening. Audrey Werro and Georgia Bell finished second and third in respective times of 1:57.34 and 1:57.55.
Diamond League Lausanne: Cordell Tinch Goes Under 13 Seconds
Despite the poor weather conditions, Cordell Tinch was impressive in the men’s 110m hurdles as he streaked away from the rest of the pack after hurdle three.
He then dipped on the line, clocking 12.98 seconds to claim his fourth Diamond League win of the season. Jamal Britt came in second, clocking 13.13 seconds, as another American, Trey Cunningham, rounded up the podium in 13.19 seconds.
Diamond League Lausanne: Debut Win For Doris Lemngole
Kenya's Doris Lemngole was impressive as she crossed the finish line in an extremely rainy 3000m steeplechase, picking up her first-ever Diamond League win with 9:16.36.
Sembo Almayew was forced to come in second, as she clocked 9:20.39, with Olivia Markezich sealing the podium in a time of 9:20.73.
Diamond League Lausanne: Men's 5000m Crowns Surprise Winner
Ethiopia’s Hagos Gebrhiwet and USA's Grant Fisher had traded blows on the final lap, but Belgium's Isaac Kimeli stormed past them with a blistering kick to win in 13:07.67.
The win was Isaac Kimeli's first Diamond League triumph since 2019, when he lit up Brussels on home soil.
