Find out where and how to catch Kenya's Shujaa and Lionesses in action at the Dubai Challenger Series.

When the men's national rugby sevens team, Shujaa, and their female counterparts, the Lionesses touched down in Dubai, it marked the beginning of an exciting journey in the opening leg of the HSBC Challenger Series, scheduled from January 12th to 14th.

With a hunger for success and redemption, Shujaa, who faced relegation from the World Rugby Sevens Series last year, are ready to kickstart their Challenger Series campaign with gusto.

Shujaa's campaign in Group C commences with a showdown against Mexico on Friday at 1:14 pm. Later in the day, they will face off against their neighbors from Uganda at 5:58 pm.

On Saturday, the team will wrap up their pool fixtures by taking on Germany at 12:59 pm. Shujaa's journey in the Challenger Series is a chance to prove their mettle and earn a coveted spot in the World Series.

On the other hand, the Lionesses are poised for their Pool B challenges.

Their campaign begins with a match against China on Friday at 11:36 am, followed by a clash with the Czech Republic at 3:58 pm.

Their final pool assignment awaits on Saturday, where they will face Mexico at 10:59 am.

For fans eager to catch the action, the Dubai Challenger will be broadcast live on RugbyPassTV.

Additionally, live scoring and pool standings can be tracked through the HSBC Sevens Challenger website.

Shujaa have their eyes on the prize, aiming to build on the momentum generated from their recent success at the Safari Sevens.

Their ultimate goal is to secure a spot in the prestigious World Series, and the Challenger Series is their gateway to achieving that dream.

The Challenger Series provides a crucial promotion pathway to the HSBC Sevens 2025.

The top four men's and women's teams from the Challenger Series will earn their place in the new promotion and relegation play-off competition at the SVNS Grand Final in Madrid.

The format mirrors that of the Olympic Games, with 12-team men's and women's competitions.

The 2024 edition of the Challenger Series will run from January to May and include combined men's and women's events in Dubai, UAE, and Montevideo, Uruguay, before standalone events in Germany and Poland for men and women, respectively.
