During the previous edition in 2021 in Rwanda, Kenya had beaten Egypt 3-2 in the group stage and they were out to finish what they had begun.

Kenya's national men's volleyball team Wafalme lost 3-0 to Egypt at the ongoing CAVB African Volleyball Nations Championship in Cairo, Egypt. 

During the previous edition in 2021 in Rwanda, Kenya had beaten Egypt 3-2 in the group stage and they were out to finish what they had begun but unfortunately succumbed to the Egyptians in their Round of 16 match.

Egypt were off to a good start taking the first set 25-17. They then came back for the second set charged up and upset Team Kenya 25-19.

The third set was a thrilling encounter with Team Kenya and the Egyptians taking turns to lead the scoreboard. Team Egypt were too smart for Team and they eventually managed to carry the day, beating Kenya 27-25.

Meanwhile, Wafalme started the tournament with a tough 3-1 loss to Cameroon, followed by another defeat in their second match against Libya, where they went down 3-0 sets. They then charged up and secure a 3-2 victory over Ghana in a thrilling encounter.
