Wazito play Bandari at the Mbaraki Stadium in Mombasa on Sunday.

Wazito FC head coach Charles Odera has heaped praise on Twahir Muhiddin describing him as a coach ‘with no weakness’ ahead of his side’s clash with his Bandari FC.

The Dockers have been ruthless in their three games under Muhiddin, who was appointed head coach on an interim basis until the end of the season while also performing his role as technical director.

Bandari humiliated Vihiga Bullets 7-2 before tormenting Mathare United 3-0, but were held to a 0-0 draw by Nairobi City Stars at the Ruaraka grounds a fortnight ago.

“Muhiddin is my mentor, I have a lot of respect for him having worked together for Oserian. He has no weakness whatsoever,” Odera said.

“We will approach that game cautiously but not fearing them. We will play our game respecting them though. He is a coach with a lot of experience.

“The weather will not be a problem to us because Muhoroni weather is kind of similar, the conditions at Mbaraki will not affect us, I am certain.”

Wazito have been on a good run of form, having won three of their last five league games, which has taken them out of the automatic relegation places with four games left to play.

They are 16th on 23 points, scoring 19 but conceding 47 goals. They will be up against it when they face a Bandari side that have scored 38 goals, with attackers Abdallah Hassan and Umaru Kasumba scoring for fun.

Abdallah has contributed 18 goals and assists in the league, while Kasumba has scored 11 goals. Wazito’s defense will have to be steadfast, with keeper Tom Muthomi, who has been on form for the side since stepping in against Tusker tasked with keeping their threat out while organizing his teammates.

“He is a guy with an exceptional attitude and is very positive. Sometimes, there are players who are grumpy and throw tantrums because they are not playing. Muthomi is different.

“He has excellent organizational skills which help him organize his defense, making his work easier. That is his job, It is not all about making saves.”
