Sinisa Mihic has shed light on what led to Gor Mahia exit after just three months.
Recently departed Gor Mahia head coach Sinisa Mihic has opened up about the circumstances that led to his abrupt exit from the FKF Premier League champions, just three months after taking charge.
The Croatian tactician, who joined the record 21-time champions in February, parted ways with the club under what has been described as a mutual agreement.
In an official statement issued by the club on Monday, May 19, the decision was confirmed as amicable, though Mihic’s revelations suggest deeper unrest behind the scenes.

Mihic Breaks Silence
)
Speaking to Nation Sports, Mihic stated he had already made up his mind to walk away from the role, regardless of the circumstances.
“I have finished with this club. I’m relieved and had decided no matter what, I must leave,” he said.
“That is why I called the meeting with the club officials, told them I will no longer stay, and we agreed I will be paid all my dues. No worry about that.”
Mihic cited frustration over poor officiating as a key factor in his decision. He pointed to Sunday’s 0-0 draw against Murang’a Seal, where he claimed his team was denied two clear penalties, as the final breaking point.

Gor Mahia: How K’Ogalo Can Still Snatch FKF Premier League Title from Kenya Police Despite Latest Stumble
Hanging onto hope, here is how Gor Mahia can still lift the FKF Premier League title despite Kenya Police needing one win from two matches to be crowned.
“After the weekend draw, I could no longer stay,” he explained.
“Even against Nairobi City Stars last week, we were denied a penalty, even though we wasted clear chances.”
The series of setbacks severely dented Gor Mahia’s title ambitions, as Kenya Police widened their lead in the FKF Premier League standings.
Strained Relations and Internal Wrangles
)
Beyond on-field frustrations, Mihic pointed to internal discord as another major reason for his departure.
The Croatian tactician revealed that tensions within the camp intensified following a loss to FC Talanta, during which the club chairman allegedly harshly criticized players.
The coach had reportedly been in a long-standing conflict with his backroom staff, assistants Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno, Michael Nam, and team manager Victor Nyaoro.
“When we lost against FC Talanta, the chairman talked badly to the players and I told him off. I’m a very open person because I felt we needed to motivate the boys rather than castigate them for the loss,” explained Mihic
