Sofapaka's coach Haringingo faces mounting pressure after a winless start, aiming to revamp strategy ahead of their game against Nairobi City Stars.

After a series of disappointing performances, Sofapaka head coach Francis Haringingo finds himself grappling with escalating pressure to turn the team's fortunes around.

The latest blow came from Ulinzi Stars, who edged Sofapaka 1-0 at the Ulinzi Sports Complex, further deepening the predicament for Haringingo and his squad. In a league where every point is crucial, Sofapaka's sluggish start has not gone unnoticed.

In the four matches played thus far, the team's performance has been underwhelming. Their only point came from a 1-1 draw against defending champions Gor Mahia. This was followed by two successive defeats; a 1-0 loss at home to Bandari and a 3-1 upset by Posta Rangers.

With these outcomes, the team finds itself languishing at the bottom of the 18-team log.

Speaking to the club's official portal after the Ulinzi Stars match, the Burundian coach, known for his soft-spoken nature, did not mince words.

“We played well against the Soldiers. Had we utilized all the chances we created, victory would have been ours. Football is unforgiving; one mistake can cost you the match, and success comes by seizing every opportunity,” Haringingo candidly stated.

The Sofapaka tactician expressed his deep concern, especially for the team's attacking unit which has the likes of experienced striker Fiston Razak and Darius Msagha.

“Our mission now is to strategize and focus on scoring. I have immense faith in our forwards and believe they can consistently find the back of the net. We're gearing up for an intensive training session this week to prepare for our clash against Nairobi City Stars,” he said.

Despite the gloomy start to the season, Haringingo maintains an optimistic outlook. He reiterated his confidence in his squad, emphasizing that he possesses a talented pool of players capable of delivering positive results before the end of the first leg.

Not only that, but he also expressed his ambition of clinching silverware by the season's end, a testament to his unwavering belief in his team's capabilities.

But as it stands, the numbers paint a grim picture for Sofapaka, also known as Batoto ba Mungu.

Holding the 18th position with a solitary point, they trail table-toppers Posta Rangers by a staggering nine points. This considerable gap has raised questions regarding the team's preparations and tactics leading up to this season.

As the pressure cooker situation intensifies, all eyes will be on Sofapaka's upcoming match against Nairobi City Stars.
