Olarenwaju came on to grab a late equaliser for Umraniyespor against Henry Onyekuru and Babajide David's Adana Demirspor.

Senegal's Badou Ndiaye fired Adana Demirspor ahead with only 11 minutes to go. The visitors were coasting to victory before Olarenwaju Kayode came on and snatched a point late on for the hosts.

Umraniyespor hosted Adana at the Umraniye Belediyesi Sehir Stadi in an attempt to claw themselves out of the bottom of the table. The high-flying Adana were about to condemn the hosts to their 14th loss of the season, but for Kayode's heroics.

The late Kayode strike prevented Adana from breaking into the top three, while Umraniyespor remain nailed to the bottom of the table

How it happened

The home side started with verve and troubled their superior visitors in the early exchanges, but Adana played their way back into the game. Both sides had decent scoring chances and spells in the game, but the first-half remained barren.

The second-half was all about Adana, who kept the hosts camped in their half for most of the game and were rewarded in the 79th minute on a Badou Ndiaye strike.

Adana unsuccessfully pushed for a second and were hit by a late flurry of Umraniyespor attacks, which resulted in a Kayode equaliser in the 90th minute of the game on an Antonio Mrsic assist.

The Nigerians on show

Olanrewaju Kayode came on in the 84th minute of the game to steal the headline, but on the other side of the encounter were Henry Onyekuru and Babajide David, one of whom started the game and the other second-half substitute.

Henry Onyekuru was involved from the start, creating three scoring chances for his teammates, none of which were converted before he came off in the 65th minute of the game after he picked up a knock.

Vincenzo Montella's substitution was a Nigerian for a Nigerian, with Onyekuru being replaced by David. David continued where his compatriot left off, creating an unconverted big chance while completing two of three attempted dribbles.
